Acid Jazz Records have unearthed a very limited number of copies of early releases by Andy Lewis on vinyl. There aren't very many copies of his first album, Billion Pound Project, nor his second You Should Be Hearing Something Now!, nor the seven inches See You There (featuring Lynda Lawrence) and Laughter Ever After (featuring Bettye Lavette) or (Love Is) Alive In My Heart featuring Keni Burke. If you're into spinning the black circle, you should go now to the Acid Jazz store on Ebay . They're also selling copies of the mini album 41 on both CD and limited double 7", all for buy it now prices.
Meanwhile Andy Lewis and his band are rehearsing hard for their next show on Thursday May 26th at The Buffalo Bar, 259 Upper Street, Islington London, N1. He'll be performing a selection of other songs old and new, and to this end he'll be joined with some extra-special guest vocalists. Also on the bill are Broken Mile and Small Talk and there'll be DJ's spinning top tunes on vinyl 'til late.
The last show at The Bowery sold out, so advance tickets are highly recommended. Tickets are available NOW HERE.
During February this year, Andy and his live band got together and recorded twelve completely new songs for an album which celebrates the musical diversity of their influences, and that of the Acid Jazz label who will be releasing it. Details of this album will follow in future messages. In the meantime, Andy's wrapping up work on his third solo album which is still scheduled for release in the autumn.
