-------------------------------------------------------------------------

This show was from the legendary Tipitina's (Napoleon Street location)
in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 23, 1992.

personnel with Weller on this date included:

Jacko Peake - alto sax, bari sax, & flute
Camille Hinds - bass
Helen Turner - keys
Steve White - drums (of course!)
Zeke Manyika - percussion

This is the only time I've ever seen Weller live and I was fortunate
because it was also a live radio broadcast over WTUL (Tulane
University's college radio station). So, while I was attending the
show my friend across town was nice enough to tape it off the radio!
This "friend" however, did manage to miss most of the opening number
which was "(When You) Call Me" and the end of "Bitterness Rising".
Also, he used a normal bias cassette for the majority of the show
which is a bit of a disappointment. The last 2 tracks did make it
onto a high bias tape though. But overall it's a pretty good quality
recording and I'm damn thankful to have it! It was a great show and
very intimate as you'll hear. Paul interacted a little more with the
crowd than I've ever heard him do on other live recordings. He even
managed to scold someone in the audience for requesting a number
after he had begun another. I've never seen this show surface on any
bootleg CD's but it's been floating around on cassette since early
'93 when I sent a copy of it to Boys About Town fanzine. Denny Burkes, Mississippi
