Ed Jones Solo LP and... Leukaemia research...

Ed Jones - Solo CD

Ed Jones, lead singer of Milton Keynes rock band Breathless has recorded a solo album titled ‘Onwards and Upwards’. In 2006, Ed was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML). Since then Ed has focussed on raising money and awareness for Leukaemia Research, organising live gigs and playing at charity events including the Milton Keynes Bananaman Chase . It sounds a bit like Ronnie Lane's slim chance and influences are very clear: Paul Weller, Ocean Colour Scene, Small Faces, Beatles, Who, Delta Blues, New Orleans jazz...

‘Onwards and Upwards’ includes 11 uplifting tracks with a focus on enjoying the present and looking forward to the future. The album costs £10, with £5 from each sale going to Leukaemia Research to help the charity save lives in our lifetime.

Ed is Mike Eaton's cousin who has provided the blog many time. Mike: "Ed is about as mod as it gets and has been playing in bands for a while now, he is the person guilty for sitting me down in front of mr Weller on top of the pops doing uh huh oh yeh in 1992 which is where my Weller/mod passion began."
