No Jam Reunion. 28 years later...(Thanx to Simon Franklin)

Paul Weller has told Xfm this morning that there won’t be a Jam reunion. Rumours began to circulate after news broke that the Modfather would be joined by Jam bass player Bruce Foxto on his new album. Check Paul Weller news, to be continued...

Thank God for that. The Jam stood for youth. Seeing those three guys pretending to be 23 again would have been totally pathetic. "Because the kids know where it's at".

I still haven't recovered the pain of seeing pictures of the wrinkled faces of the reunited Velvet Underground. Don't even mention the recent Sonics reunion, that made averyone cry (or puke).
I'd rather have PW playing these wonderful tunes with his current band.

("Those golden faces are under 25", remember that other line from "In the City" ?)

Oh yes, that would be ridiculous except, amho, for one reason, a massive and unique gig in Wembley or something for a BENEFIT cause, with NO NEW SONGS and not any other gigs. Anyway, no one could believe a single minute it would be "The Jam" for real...
