English 70s rock band Faces reunion! They will play with Mick Hucknall who's gonna replace Rod Stewart, the former frontman. That's what the other members of the band said. The Faces should play for a gig in England late august, before touring in January, with Sex Pistols ex guitarist and Guns n'roses one: Slash (It's written this way!)with Kenney Jones to back up

Mick Hucknall had had rehearsals yet with the band who explained than they couldn't wait anymore Rod Stewart. "He had that kind of electricity in the voice, it was like yesterday" told Ronnie Wood about Simply Red's singer... We didn't exclude Rod, but his planning is completely full and his manager add him more and more work every time we try to get him with us according Ron Wood. We can't wait anymore. The music is hot and Mick is hot too, we're ready to go. It's the right time. The band gave an exceptional gig in the RAH last year with several singers instead of Rod Stewart. Mick Hucknal won't go on anyway with Simply red after a final gig. "It's usually a ballad singer, romantic songs, but when you close your eyes and listen, It's like the Faces in the seventies, he really can sing their songs" says Ronnie Wood.

The band will play august the 13 th, Goodwood festival.

Le groupe de rock anglais des années 1970 Faces va se reformer autour du chanteur Mick Hucknall des Simply Red, qui remplacera Rod Stewart, le chanteur d'origine, ont annoncé mercredi des membres du groupe. Faces devrait se produire pour un concert en Angleterre en août, avant de partir en tournée en janvier, avec l'ex-guitariste des Sex Pistols et des Guns N' Roses Slash, et le batteur Kenney Jones en renfort.

Mick Hucknall a déjà répété avec les autres membres du groupe qui ont expliqué ne pas pouvoir attendre que Rod Stewart se libère pour les rejoindre. "Il avait cette électricité dans la voix, comme si c'était hier", a raconté le guitariste Ronnie Wood, en parlant du chanteur des Simply Red. "Nous n'avons pas exclu d'avoir Rod. C'est juste que son agenda est tellement rempli et que son manager lui rajoute du travail à chaque fois qu'on essaye de l'avoir avec nous", a dit Ronnie Wood à la BBC.

"On n'a plus le temps d'attendre. La musique est chaude et Mick Hucknall est chaud, donc on est prêt à y aller. C'est le moment." Le groupe avait donné un concert exceptionnel au Royal Albert Hall à Londres l'an dernier avec plusieurs chanteurs à la place de Rod Stewart, dont Mick Hucknall.

Mick Hucknall mettra un point final au groupe Simply Red après un dernier concert cette année. "C'est d'habitude un chanteur de ballades, romantique, mais quand il chante du rock, si vous fermez les yeux, c'est juste comme Faces dans les années 1970, il peut vraiment interpréter leurs chansons", a souligné Ronnie Wood. Le groupe reformé donnera son premier concert le 13 août au Goodwood festival (sud de l'Angleterre).
