Peter Night Soul Deliverance.

To be honest, there's not much band I can only STAND in France. For several reasons I would like to explain , we have not really songwriting traditions except realistic songs... In the sixties, when everything started in England, french producers didn't want to take any risk and they just have been lazy enough to buy copyrights, translate with stupid lyrics the original songs and so, only a few singers were actually writing their songs.

Peter Night, leader and songwriter, is absolutely not of that tradition. He's a real songwriter, a passionate and a fire and skill man. He does believe in music, the real one, the mods one, the good one and he's working hard on his songs. I know english people has so many bands, they don't really need to make a special effort to discover new bands. In France, you need to, you have to. Reviews are absolutely excellent about the PN soul deliverance new LP,
A Long cold summer.

When you ask Pierre (Peter) about his influences, you have a nice list: Jam, Stranglers, Damned, Buzzcocks, Saints, Radio Birdman, Hoodoo Gurus, Nerves, Plimsouls, Blondie, Who, Hendrix, Love, Byrds, Beach boys, Kinks, Zombies, Beatles, Small Faces, Traffic, Stones, blue eyed soul. There's not any bad taste in that list.

You can listen 7 songs on their myspace and if you want the LP, let me know. Enjoy.
