(Hi gang, Nick ward is a long time visitor of this blog, another Weller addict. Modest and very discrete, he never dared to speak of his own career and music... He will published his second LP next year. Let's introduce him. You can hear at the moment one of his catchy songs "Follow the sun". He's not another Welleralike believe me, go on the myspace's and listen the songs carefully. And don't start by "I am War", it's a bit different of usual Nick's ability. Ready? )
I would like to bring to your attention a singer songwriter from South Wales called Nick Ward. He was signed to AudioFile Records as the result of a live session on the Tom Robinson Show on 6 Music at the end of 2008. His first releases for the label were debut album Outside Looking In, and the Rag & Bone EP. Both were released last May & the track This Town received a lot of radio play (6 Music, Radio Wales, Radio 2). This week sees the release of new single I Am War, which is a step in a 
different direction & shows Nick's versatility as a writer. He is currently three quarters of the way through recording his second album with his band, due to be released next February. Nick has had a very busy year gigging & only a handful of dates over the Christmas period are left for 2009. AudioFile are looking to arrange a tour of Europe for 2010 as sales of downloads seem to be prevelant throughout Norway, Sweden, Italy & Germany.
